ST DAVID’S CONCLAVE No. 247
VISIT BY V.Wy.Bro ROBIN KNIGHT, GRAND VISITOR

On Saturday the 6th of April 2024 I was delighted to be able to welcome to West Lancashire Province and St. David’s Conclave, Very Worthy Brother Robin Knight, one of the Grand Visitors appointed in Grand Conclave in November 2023 on one of his scheduled visits to several Provinces to attend Conclave meetings and submit a report on each visit to the Grand Guide for inclusion in his report to Grand Conclave.

The Conclave meets at Preston Masonic Hall and the main business of the meeting was to Admit Bro. Neil Stuart Atkinson to the Princes degree.

The members of the Conclave held a rehearsal meeting at 09.45 followed by a committee meeting at 10.15.

Owing to the low number of members of the Conclave, and that some were unable to be present due to poor health or valid reasons as reported by the Visiting Deacons of the Conclave, many officers had been co-opted at the last minute at the rehearsal meeting and so it was inevitable that parts of the ceremony had to be read.

and Bro. Neil Atkinson to the right of the S.R.
Those present enjoyed a wonderful “All Day Breakfast” following the meeting and V.Wy.Bro. Robin Knight, in responding to the Toast to the Grand Officers, thanked al those present for the warmth of their welcome and hospitality and said how much he had enjoyed the meeting in spite of the difficulties in filling the offices.

R.Wy.Bro. John Bicknell, Prov.G.S.R., also thanked the brethren for their welcome and reminded everyone that V.Wy.Bro. David Rhodes, a member of the Conclave, would be receiving his Golden Jubilee Celebration Certificate and breast Jewel from the Grand Supreme Ruler, M.Wy.Bro. Andrew Chrisopher Sweeney, at the Provincial meeting to be held at Preston on Saturday the 21st September 2024 and he hoped that all the members of the Conclave would support V.Wy.Bro. David on the day.
